Family Owned and Artfully Made

Michele Chiarlo

Already in 1958 Michele Chiarlo bottled his first Barolo bottle with only a few hectares of vineyards in his possession, today you can safely look back on the successful history Michele Chiarlo created and which his sons Stefano and Alberto continue. With just over 110 hectares located in Langhe, Monferrato and Gavi, they produce world-class wines from famous cru locations such as Cerequio, Cannubi, Asili and Faset. The still family-owned company has become one of Piedmont's most recognizable names and has been instrumental in the region's rise in quality. With an eye on the future, they work in a very sophisticated way in terms of sustainability and respect for the environment both in the vineyards and in the winery. Preserving the landscape and human impact on the environment is at the forefront and in fact Michele Chiarlo was one of Italy's first producers to be certified under VIVA.

Calvados since 1933

Calvados Lelouvier

Calvados Lelouvier, founded by Alain Lelouvier in 1933 in Briouze, Normandy, became renowned for its quality Calvados and Cider under the leadership of his son, Christian Lelouvier, in the 1970s. Christian continued the family tradition of distilling and blending Calvados from small producers, achieving global recognition. After the last owner passed away, Christian Drouin, a long-time business partner, acquired the company. Guillaume Drouin now leads both companies, maintaining their shared philosophy of quality. Lelouvier's Calvados, distilled using a single-distillation system, offers a distinct taste compared to Christian Drouin's double-distilled products.

Crafting Icons of the Tuscan Coast

Tua Rita

In the early 1980s, Rita Tua and Virgilio Bisti followed a simple dream: to live close to the land and create wines that spoke truthfully of their origin.

What began as a small personal project in Suvereto on the Tuscan coast soon evolved into one of Italy’s most respected wineries.

Driven by passion and guided by intuition rather than convention, Tua Rita became a pioneer of the Super Tuscan movement, crafting wines that combine richness with precision.

Their philosophy is to let the vineyard speak for itself through meticulous care, organic practices, and gentle, minimal intervention in the cellar.

“Every vintage is a dialogue between the vines and the sea,” said Rita, whose presence is still felt in every bottle.

From the iconic Redigaffi, a pure Merlot that stands among the world’s finest, to elegant expressions of Syrah and Sangiovese, Tua Rita captures both the essence of Tuscany and the spirit of those who dare to look beyond tradition.

Today, Tua Rita continues to set the standard for excellence on the Tuscan coast, a story of place, passion and purity told through every glass.

Graceful Sangiovese

Monteraponi

Monteraponi makes sangiovese in the classic style, just the way we want sangiovese to taste. Light, herbal notes backed by tart red fruit that is not masked by barrels. Monteraponi is located just outside Radda in Chianti, high on the hill after which the domain is named. The estate dates back to the 10th century when the then governor of Tuscany, Count Ugo, built the estate. After years of decline, Monteraponi was acquired in 1973 by the Braganti family and was intended only as an investment.

However, Michele Braganti had other plans and gradually refurbished Monteraponi to produce wine. Contrary to the prevailing trends in the area, Michele wanted to produce wine of the highest quality in the classic way. Fermentation takes place in cement tanks and the wine is aged in large Slavonian and Austrian oak barrels. The estate covers just over 150 hectares of land, but only 15 of these are planted with grapes. Apart from a few hectares of olive groves, most of the land is untouched. All farming is organic. Thanks to the fact that the farms are surrounded by forest, there is no need to worry about neighbors spraying.

The awards have come thick and fast in recent years - both from international writers as well as in the domestic wine bible, Gambero Rosso, where Monteraponi has been awarded three glasses on several occasions.
